Science for policy is the process by which information is transferred from the scientific community or individual researcher to policymakers with the intention to produce evidence-informed policy (EIPM). Almost every legislative action, regardless of the topic or government level, has a scientific component to it. While policies are not made by science alone, it can help decision-makers more accurately assess the benefits and potential consequences of the different options available.
Mission
Over the last decade, I've seen a growing interest in evidence-informed policy (EIPM) within Europe. While there are some introductory materials, primarily for individual researchers wanting to engage in policy, there are still insufficient resources explaining how they and teams of researchers can meaningfully share their expertise and have policy impact.
I aim to expand on existing science for policy and EIPM materials by providing tailored advice, workshops, and science-policy translation to individual scientists, research teams hoping to have policy impact, and those in the policy community who would like to integrate research into their work. If you have any questions or requests, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Science-Policy Translation
I offer science-policy translation to help bridge the gap between scientific and policy communities. By relaying key scientific information that is accurate, contextualised, and useful, research can be effectively integrated into policy. Learn about this process.
Science for Policy WorkshopsI deliver workshops to research teams to build their understanding of the policy landscape, how they can engage with existing policy processes and achieve meaningful policy impact. I also offer workshops to those working on legislation or policy who would like to more effectively support EIPM. See the workshops on offer.
