About me.
My name is Chloe Hill and I help scientists to effectively communicate their research with decision-makers and overcome the challenges that they may face when trying to engage with the policymaking process. I also coordinate activities and create spaces that enable scientists and policymakers to meet and exchange information.
Over the last 5 years I have seen a growing interest in the role that science has in Europe's policymaking process. While there are a number of introductory resources for researchers who want to engage in policy, there are still insufficient resources explaining exactly how scientists can meaningfully contribute and successfully communicate their expertise. I aim to expand on these existing materials by providing researchers and scientific institutions with specific information and advice about how they can more effectively and meaningfully support evidence-informed policy. As well as providing these services, I currently work as the European Geosciences Union's Policy Officer. I previously worked in the renewable energy sector for the African EU Energy Partnership, and as a research assistant for the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability, the Institute of Climate and Sustainable Cities, and Forestry Tasmania. You can see more about my experience and qualifications via my LinkedIn. |
